Built from a single fallen Nispero tree — every plank, beam and floorboard cut from one trunk that was brought in by oxen so no road had to be cut. Two storeys, rattan walls, screens everywhere, ceiling fans, no A/C. The walls are woven rattan. The Beach House is built entirely from fallen Nispero — the Caribbean loquat tree — sustainably dragged out of the rainforest by oxen. The wood is dense, salt-resistant, and ages to a deep honey under the sun. Edsart never cut a living tree to build any house at Tree House Lodge. A spiral wooden staircase rises to the master bedroom. The walls are woven rattan with adjustable shuttered windows — you open them by day for the breeze, close them at night to keep things close. Up the spiral wooden staircase — king-size bed, ceiling fan, mosquito net, full screening. This is the bedroom you came for. King · fan · screened. - B · A queen in the living room (downstairs · open-plan) — The open-plan ground level holds the kitchen, dining, and living — and a queen-size bed off to one side, with its own fan and mosquito net. Useful for friends, occasionally a kid. But you'll hear the waves the whole stay. ### Is it good for a honeymoon? Yes — it's our most-booked house for couples. Hammock, private veranda, hot tub, king bed upstairs. We can set up flowers and a welcome bottle if you tell us in advance. ### Is there air conditioning? No A/C. Ceiling fans and Caribbean cross-breeze keep the house comfortable.
